8800gtx VS 9800gx2

I have the opportunity to buy both cards. The 8800GTX is half the price of the GX2.
any suggestion/recommendation on what to get? My heart tells me to get the GX2 cause it’s a beast(!) compared to the 8800GTX. I had a 8800GTS 320MB and when I played World in conflict on that one, it stutters alot. Obviously, I doubt it would be a problem with the GX2. But how about the GTX? But I’m wondering if the GX2 is twice the performance as well over the 8800GTX?
