87 325is, "Chirp" when I lift off the clutch in 1st
I have had the ‘87 325is for about two months now. Cleaned up well, tuned and timed as well as a 180k car can be. Pleased to report 4x new 195/65/14 BFG T/As this week, belts, hoses and wires and it is the daily driver. The Delphin Metalic paint is fried but quite impressive for a $1000 Brooklyn NY Craigslist Special.
Here’s the problem…
As I step off the clutch in 1st there is an odd "chirp" coming from the tranny when I lift off the clutch, just as it is about to disengage. It shifts and I have zero slippage. The car shifts fine in every gear.
Any suggestions?
